Any merit to all of this being an elaborate sham?

It may be on par with the DLH v Sturm robbery

Yeah, Farrell is obviously very knowledgeable, but seems so enamored with his ideas and viewpoints of the sport that he can't fathom the idea of anyone having differing opinions.

If a lot of you guys are sure Ortiz is gunna throw the fight then, the odds would be wider.

If the fix is in here the odds movement would be much wider.

Ortiz is between 3.6-3.9 for weeks now.

I mean...he kind of reminds me of a [slightly] more pompous and dead-certain-of-his-own-logical-soundness and given-to-precious-and-elitist-style version of myself, so maybe I am biased...

Until I see Farmy and Kevin co-signing the conspiracy it’s all a crock of sheet.

The author is far more convinced than I am that Wilder is an out and out fraud, and he seems to hold a much higher opinion of Ortiz...but otherwise I agree with him qualitatively on every other subject (Joshua, Klitschko, Fury, Stiverne, Parker, Don King, Eddie Hearn, Al Haymon, Wilder's matchmaking...) and he paints a very compelling still-life of "the business side" of the equation, something I am (being a dedicated adherent of the sport of boxing; its technical aspects inside the ring, etc) prone to leave in my blind spot...

He's arrogant in his tone but if you stick with it he makes some interesting points.

I gave it a second read I mean there has been a lot of controversy around wilder but no guarantee that wilder Joshua is even next if Ortiz does fall on purpose

the author just really doesn't like wilder and i think because he's been successful despite the authors bias makes him think well it must be fixed

not sure he has a real argument
