    Yes, Benitez spoke broken Rican English. There's plenty of post-fight interviews of him speaking English.

    I'm sure if Monzon spoke English, he would have said "I hope you can fly, b*tch!"

    Arguello and Benitez, yes.

    Jofre learned some basics and was quoted speaking in English on a couple of his US fights. He also spoke fluent Spanish (his dad was Argentine). His daughter told me that he actually did speak and understand a bit of English.

    Olivares, Gomez, Chavez nothing. Monzon, I’m not sure.

    Arguello lived here for at least a decade (he couldnt even visit Nicaragua) and had split residence for 20. His son has lived in NYC forever.
