No, Gatti liked beating up samller guys then like Leija and Dorin. Now the same thing happened to him in his last 2 fights. He sure moved and backed away a lot for being a warrior.Morales and Castillo, those guys are warriors.

No, he had no asnwer for Gomez. And it wasn't because Gatti is shot. He's smaller and Gomez had no fear of Gatti's punch.

Gomez isn't as bad as the 'know it alls' of the board think.

i guess he would have. but there is not telling..........after all a "prime" gatti lost to journeymen like ward.

so a win by gomez is not out of the question.

again this is a styles makes fights thing and i think gomez showed last night that when you put pressure on gatti he relies mainly on winging bombs to the head and against bigger guys gatti could not hurt them so i think its a safe bet to say that gatti 4 or 5 years ago maybe lasts the fight but he still gets a beating .

Gatti said it himself. From 140 to 147 there is a world of difference. He enjoyed massive size advantages at lower weights. Without those size advantages, which he never would have had against gomez, he gets owned

Gomez is a big WW, good sized LMW. He's a limited fighter yes, but he's always shown a good chin and he's definitley TV quality with a few solid wins.

I don't know why people thought he was so limited that he couldn't defeat Gatti, especially with the size advantage and the fact that there was no way Gatti could have stunned him or anything of the sort given that Gomez took MW shots very well.

Gomez is not a World Class fighter by any means, but he's a solid guy and deserves respect, more than he got in the lead up to this fight considering 65% of people were picking Gatti to win....

In thinking about it... Gomez vs. Baldo is a pretty good fight.
