    I was just watching Lewis/Grant and was wondering what would happen if Michael Grant fought Joe Louis.

    Grant was 6'7 250 pounds and was undefeated when he fought Lewis. What could he do against Louis? Would Grant have been the new champion?

    It would be bad for Grant, especially if he comes out to Louis like he did against Lewis...

    More like the Guinn fight than the Lewis fight. Grant could jab okay and had a nice right hand but there were no layers to his game. Louis would figure him out and Grant wouldn't adjust.

    If Louis wanted Grant out of there early, then it would most likely happen.

    Much would depend on how he chose to play it.

    Grant could certainly drop Louis in the rigth circumstances, but it would just make him angry.

    Would have? No way.


    There wasn't anything that unpredictable about Grant to make you think he could pull off a knockdown.

    Joe would zero in on him quick.

    Would it more resemble Louis/Buddy Baer or Louis/Carnera?

    I can't say that. Baer was more aggressive against Louis, but Baer was better than Grant.

    I think Louis' punches would have a dramatic highlight-reel effect on Grant.

    I don't think it matters what approach Grant took.

    They'll be rinsing parts on him off the ring after the fight.
