Yea it was/is a great division. Add Zab to the list it makes a great top 10.

i remember that duran, hearns, leonard and hagler once ranked in the top 10 of MW
then lewis, tyson, holy and bowe in the top 10 of HW
so is pac, jmm, mab and em in the 126 division

we maybe have 5 HOF fighters ranked in the top 10 of a division simultaneously

WW in 1980 was unbelievable Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Benitez and Cuevas :shock:

 

Oscar, Tito, Mosley, Vargas, Forrest, Mayorga all prime was also better

 

so 2002-2004 is better than 2005-2007

It depends if they all fight each other.

 

No for one of best ever and yes for crazy. HOF Skill level means nothing and the potentials need to each it first.

It was good. There 90s class was greater.

 

Its a pretty good one.

But there have been several greater...the recent Hoya-Tito-Quartey-Pea for instance.

Griffith-Cokes-Napoles-LMR is a hard one to beat..As is SRR-Gavilan-Graham-Servo to name another one.

You have to really appreciate the rich history of the division and the fact it is one of the oldest there is...to be fair though a few years of reflection would have to pass to really gauge how good it was.

Floyd-Mosley-Berto-Cotto-Clottey-Pac-JMM and a host of quality contenders like Collazo, Cintron, Margarito etc.

 

Nah i think the late 90's early 00's were better.
