I see a lot of comments saying Joshua's fights are too easy, theres even comments moaning about his choice of choosing Wladimir. Lets get real now, Joshua has only had 18 fights and now he's fighting the former king of heavyweight boxing. That is pretty impressive and potentially very dangerous. I personally think Joshua is going to take over the whole heavyweight division. Who do you believe is the toughest fight for Anthony Joshua, and what does he need to do to impress you, if he hasn't already impressed you?
The thing about Wlad is I think he is good at fighting boxers who come forward, or can't box off the back foot well. Joshua is not a come forward plodder that works the body and gets on the inside like Chisora, but he's not Fury either. This is an extremely interesting fight. But I think Joshua wins this one, Wlad's time is over. It was over after the Jennings fight, he lookeda wful in that fight.
Look it's just how things are, some will love AJ and others will dismiss him no matter what he does,if he beats Wlad it will be because he's old,if he beats Wilder it's cause he was always crap and if he beats the whole division it's cause the division is poor, remember how Lennox wasn't appreciated until he retired?
If you get to Joshua you can knock him out just like any fighter. Does Wlad still have the tools to do it? I don't know. But people like Molina, Martin and Breazeale are no gauge of that.
Wlad is the most dangerous opponent he could have at the moment not including Fury. People will say Wlad is old and is ready to be taken which he clearly is but he's still one of the best and most proven fighters out there and everyone is desperate to see AJ in against a proven opponent. Even an old and faded Wlad is a huge, huge step up in class.
Definitely a dangerous fight considering Joshua's level of experience but a fight that makes sense for both guys IMO. Wlad has already had a great career and has the excuse of age if he should lose. If he wins it's a great way to end his career or even carry on for a little longer if he wishes. Makes sense for Joshua because it's maybe the biggest fight available for him. Whilst dangerous, it is winnable and he could eclipse what Fury did by beating Wlad quicker and/or in a more impressive/exciting way.
Yes of course he is,both are huge guys and both have knock out power,Wlad has to be favourite on account of his experience in huge fights,I heard Wlad was impressed when sparring AJ as he'd already sent a few sparring partners away on account of em not being good enough.
Wlad still has major power and may catch AJ with some dynamite. Of course, he's older too so maybe he gets hit starts backing up and then AJ lands some bombs. Good fight for both.
No the thing is people like have man crushes you would love to have sex with and you get hurt when somebody says something about them. Joshua does fight crappy fighters and so does Wilder. Wlad is old and past his prime. Lewis best wins were against old Tyson and old washed up Holyfield. When Lewis didn't down he stated down. He was still way better than Joshua though.
Why do people from the UK watch boxing? You clearly don't know what you are talking about. You finally get a so called champion after years of watching the great USA rule the sport and you think you know boxing now? Tyson Fury is a racist, sexist coke head with no skill at all besides running. He beat Wlad? You mean the 40 year old Wlad who did nothing at all the whole fight? That makes Fury great now? Joshua is the best heavyweight in the division now? Wait because he beat Molina quicker than Wilder did? Well Chris Arreola beat John Molina quicker than either did. He stopped Molina in 1 round so he is the best right? Simple minded people like you crack me up. It is cool to represent your country but here is another thing with being a fool. Joshua has fought nobody but bums so far in his whole career. Wilder has fought nobody but bums. Neither one has proved anything yet.
And how did you come to conclusion with that one? Because AJ got hit with one shot by whyte that hurt him a little but didn't even knock him down? Any heavyweight that gets hit cleanly by another heavyweight will be hurt but Joshua's power is on another level than most of these guys including wlad. Power wise I see wilder as the only guy that has that kind of dynamite in his hands.
By far the best opponent thus far. Even a shot Wlad creps all over the likes of Molina and Martin and is at least a level above Breazale and Whyte. I actually slightly favor Wlad in this bout, like I'd have slightly favored him in the rematch with Fury as well.
Woah dude either your drunk or off your meds. What kind of rambling ******ed post is this? You spout off chit about Fury who I didn't even mention in the post you quoted. You've come to conclusions based off nothing in my post other than your rambling deluded mind, where did I say Joshua was the best or that Fury was great? We finally get a so called champion? Please most of the time I have watched boxing we've had a British heavyweight world champion, his name is Lennox Lewis. Then you throw in insults and bring in nationalism as a reason for my views based on nothing but your own bias. Then you ramble on and slag off a fighter who isn't even British. Your post is comedy gold, we clearly have winner here for most inane, idiotic and incomprehensible post of the year. Are you Tyson Fury? Get help bro.
