Ismail Abdoul ( https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/19825 ) is 59-37 with only 1 KO loss, a 12th round TKO loss to Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in his second loss ever. He's gone the distance with a total killer's row from 175lbs to heavyweight. It seems he's taken some shellackings too. He must be severely punch drunk, I'll tell you that.

No, he had a good chin of course, but he had extremely cautious, defensive style. I mean Kevn Johnson-level defensive. It's not like he was taking all the punches to the head without even softening them like Mariusz Wach does

For me when people speak of chins I personally want and fully expect to see heavyweights. Those who hit the hardest test the chin the most.

How good would Golovkins chin be versus a right hand from Wilder? How good it really is will never be truly tested against the hardest punches.

Now the chins of guys like George Chuvalo and Randall “Tex” Cobb, while legendary, were not attached to particularly skilled boxers but man they could both take a shot.

For my money the most underrated chin was Oliver McCall. Only been stopped once in a pro fight and that was because he was having a mental breakdown. He has walked through shots thrown by Lennox Lewis, Bruce Seldon, Frank Bruno, Tony Tucker, Oleg Maskaev, Larry Holmes (albeit an old one). Was a long time Tyson sparring partner. Even when he was in his 40s, he was still displaying that ATG Chin/Jaw taking shots from puncher Lance Whitaker.

    Honorable mentions: Tua, Mercer.

I think McCall had one of the best chins of all time, but it's not underrated bacause a lot of people bring his name in every thread about chin/punch resistance. The same goes for Chuvalo, Wach, Cobb, Mercer, Old Foreman, James Toney - people know they had otherwordly chins.

In my opinion, the most underrated fighter in terms of chin in history of boxing is Danny Blake - former middleweight that eventually went up to the heavyweight division, and nobody there was able to stop him, including guys like Shannon Briggs, Dannel Nicholson etc.

Here is his record - Danny Blake

Good underrated shout, although his resumé of good punchers faced isn't as extensive as others.

Yes, definitely. But he was a "bum" from middleweight division who took the distance big punching natural heavyweight Shannon Briggs - that's impressive.

BTW, agree with @Oddone on Lance Whitaker - he was criminally underrated puncher. He KTFOed Maskaev with an arm punch and he was the only fighter who managed to stop, drop or hurt granite-chinned Friday Ahunanya. And he hurt him BADLY with that left uppercut

Well he did mostly fight at cruiserweight but it's the fact he went from light heavyweight to heavyweight and didn't get stopped that impressed me. That and the fact he went the distance with Vincenzo Cantatore, Maccarinelli, 175lbs Adamek, Alexey Trofimov, Dawid Kostecki, Haye, Huck, Tomasz Hutkowski, Masternak, Mike Perez, Richard Towers, Dmytro Kucher, Glowacki twice, Kiladze, Lukasz Janik, Agron Smakici, Gassiev, Cieslak, Gevor, Djeko, Briedis, Goulamirian, Micki Nielsen and Szello. That's over twenty solid to devastating punchers he's lost to but taken the distance. Obscene.

What an uppercut though, perfect form, could hear the smack off that through anything.

I'm an MMA fan so I'm well acquainted but he was merked a good few times. Never forget middleweight Melvin Manhoeff sparking him in 30 seconds by blitzing him and that was when his chin wasn't shattered. He was also stopped by Jerome Le Banner in kickboxing in his prime and the epic Semmy Schilt (a true giant at 6'11" 287lbs and deadly fighter, one of the best kickboxers ever, probably the best heavyweight). That epicly devastating jab of Schilt's destroyed him, although Schilt was famed for having possibly the best jab ever. He was finished by a lovely spinning back kick too. That ****ing jab though... regularly knocked people down and hurt them badly, it was just as good as a solid straight right when it landed.

Abdoul's chin is ridiculous, considering the number of old school HW punchers he faced. A prime Louis probably wouldn't have dented him.

I think Ross Puritty has the greatest chin ever.
