Yes he can. But I can also envision him winning up until the right shot lands and it all gets erased.

Hearns would be on top but I'm not sure if he would be the champion, Cruiserweight division is extremely strong, Briedis is the best right now but Hearns vs Briedis would be an interesting match...

How closely are you following it?

Have you watched either of the Super Six tournaments? The Cruiserweight division is so good right now.

I will have to take a look.

I think that even with Usky at heavyweight, the division is looking very interesting.

He would lose to most of the top crusierweights, Breidis, Glowacki, Gassiev, he may be able to outbox Dorticos or Makabu, but that is debatable

Yes, for example jon jones is a natural hw,he is 6'4 and his Frame is long and big, Daniel Cormier for example is a porky at hw,he looks flabby even at 205. A guy who fights in the 205 class usually is a guy cutting weight because his normal weight can be 210-215 or even 220 so they are too light to compete against natural 250 pounders. (In the case of jones i think that he still would beat anybody).

He would beat most of them because cruiserweights of nowadays have no skills. After a few quality wins, Tommy would get knocked out though. He just does not have the chin.

I'd be interested if anyone could make a case for him being competitive.

I can't , any decent cruiser today,,and honestly there are some good fighters, would go through Hearns. It's just asking to much of Tommy.
