i dont know much about simms. only what i read about because i didnt know much about him when he was actively fighting. but in your opinion, before his layoff, could he have beaten wright? i just erad that he was supposed to fight wright to unify titles but in his opinion Wright ran from that fight to fight Mosley. Simms was supposed to get the winner of that fight but it never happened.

Can someone who knows simms career tell me if he had a chance at beating wright.

Perfect Style to get it done. Simms has solid power, kinda like Mayweather. It doesnt look like its that effective due to his handspeed, but he can put the hurt on an opponent. He moves very well in the ring as well. Imagine a Cory Spinks that would sit in the pocket a whole hell of a lot more with power.

Of all the fighters from 140-160, I would keep Floyd, as a fan of his, the furthest from Simms, if that tells you anything.

I agree with most of this, but I also think that Wright might be the worst style matchup for Simms. I don't know if he's slick enough to work around a good stiff jab, and being in there with another lefty takes away one of his big advantages.

Maybe, he's very unorthodox, has fast hands, is fast on his feet, hard to hit, and has power. But Wright's airtight defense and shotgun jab are not be be overlooked. I would bet on Winky by close, but clear decision (7 to 5 or 8 to 4)

Travis could beat Wright now even more so than back then. Travis IF he gets the chance will rule the roost at 54, but expect everyone to duck him, or not give him the chance.

I'd pick Travis over Mosley, De La Hoya, Mayweather, Spinks, Karmazin, Dzinziruk, and Ouma
