Fury's mobility and length would bother Lewis ( age 37 ) but I doubt Fury could take the same amount of power shots landed.

I'll go with Lewis via TKO.

Not in terms of how bad or good the spinks brother s were but in terms of after winning the title they didn't go on to have a long productive resume. But that at the moment lies in the hands of fury

Your the first one to pick Lewis mendoza. Thoughwhile Lewis is throwing punches any thing could happen. No one knows yet how fury would react against a big solid puncher.

I don't get it, all the talk of him been a ATG. He beat a aging champ in one fight and that's it. It's like calling Lewis ATG after ko ing ruddock and him not fighting again for almost two years.

Yes that mean streak is what i'm talking about... That's the main reason why i rate bowe and lewis above klits h2h... They were mean motherfuc...s

Vitali was out boxing lewis but got his ass kicked on the inside when lewis turned it into a fight... I was shocked how easy lewis was beating him on the inside...
But vitali is tougher than wlad, talking about that mean streak...

Wlad is like a sport nerd who is like ok let's compete and box, but as soon as the going gets tough and the other guy wants to fight instead of boxing, he panicks and doesn't know what to do except to grab...
I think wlad is the weakest hw champ as far as fighting ability and that tough, street fight mentality..

That's true. In this sport u need to have that vicious side. Tyson, dempsey, marciano, Holmes and even ali all had it. Just under neath but in certain moments it would come bubbling up. It helped to have it when you're back was against the ropes. When u was hurt or tired or behind on the cards. Wlad never really had it or at least to show it.
Marciano showed it losing to Walcott
    Dempsey showed it against Firpo
    Holmes against shavers
Ali against frazier, Norton and foreman
    Lewis against mercer and vitali.

Possibly. But what would that say? Lewis was almost 38 years old, off for a year, and showed up a career high weight and was in the last bout of his career. Even at that stage it still would have been a toss up.

    Yes....

Fury looks to me that he has it also, that vicious side... Going through whatever it takes just to win

I still think it might have shown us more about fury than the wlad win did. Even at a year off even at such a weight and in his last fight he still won. Against a pretty decent fighter I might add.

That's why I think its a tossup. Lewis wasn't 40 years old and nor did he have nearly 70 fights of mileage behind him. But still..

I get what ur saying Mr M. It is a toss up, I believe that's because Lewis was such a great fighter. Even at that age and that weight he still came through. Could fury go through the pain vitali did? "time will tell.

Fury would have cleaned up the entire 70's era in a week. Less Sunday for a spot of baked hedgehog and beer. Joshua would have done the same, but with more knockouts. Clearly, you are not au fait with the latest trends around here. Would you like some hardcore drugs to go with those opinions? ;)

    Here we disagree.

I don't think Fury would have tried to engage with Lewis the same way Vitali did. Lewis had the chance to rip Klitschko's face open because he was exchanging with him. I don't see Fury slugging with Lewis like Vits; I see him trying to potshot at range and not get hurt.

Against a young Lewis I dont think it would work; against the old version I reckon he would do fine.

The one punch that changed the entire fight was the vitali hammer of a right hand in the second round, had he put more weight behind it i think it would have been nighty night for Lewis. I never seen Fury throw these meaningful HURTFUL punches with intent of knocking someone out before .He uses minimal effort and puts lerss force to stay at long range. Vitali was successful because he was just as physically strong and could stay in the pocket with Lewis while trading punches ,not letting Lewis take control of the fight. Fury does NOT have ( and if he does i havent seen this) this bc you have to hurt Lewis to keep him off or at least respect you.

I think Lewis would have pushed fury back ,walked through his punches and worked his own jab and possibly ended the fight late with that over hand right.I think ppl are forgetting POWER punches take the steam out of you!

    Lewis for the win.
