It's common knowledge that he hadn't trained 100% for Douglas.

But what the f*ck does it have to do with this thread anyway!?

Put forward a logical case with examples, as to why Valuev would have beaten Mike.

But don't use size, because that's already been blown out of the water by the fact that Chagaev beat him.

Maybe they were fearful he would use his full power on them? Don't forget he punched without 40% of his full potential to prevent himself from killing his opponents.

It's common knowledge to Tyson ass lickers that's for sure....

How can I not use size when it's such a significant factor, that's like saying explain how Ali was so great but don't mention his speed...

I bet he absolutely kicked himself that he only used 60% of his power against Chagaev and Haye, instead of 65- 70%.

    Damn!

Just another 5-10% and he'd have kept his belt.

    Such a fine line.

Great sportsmanship by him though, which should be commended.

Losing to him was probably more acceptable than killing the poor souls. Maybe he should have loaned Tyson some of his power, he might have dispatched iron chinned Danny Williams and Kevin McWide with it....

There were some rumors a while back , about bodies being hidden in Russia after Valuev went all out it one of his training sessions.

I don't know if any of that is true.

But , A full on blow to Tyson from Valuev ,might have shortened his prime considerably.

He weighed almost 100 pounds MORE than Chagaev.

He dwarfed him in terms of height and reach.

    What happened?

    He lost an MD.

    Which means:

If Ruslan Chagaev could overcome such a disparity in size, then so could Mike Tyson, seeing as though he was about the same size, and he had more skill, speed and power etc.

Or do you need me to draw you a picture?

    The size difference was overcome.

By Chagaev, by Haye, and almost by a 46 year old Evander Holyfield, if he hadn't have been robbed.

So what else have you got?

You've bowled me a ball that said size on it, and I've just smashed it out of the park.

    So think of something else.

    Such as:

If his manager had changed his power settings from 60% to 70%, he'd have taken Mike out.

size is definitely a significant advantage.. But only to those who can effectively use it.. Lot's of wasted size in boxing history... ( and thread space for that matter. )

Chagaev fought a clever fight off the back foot, Tyson didn't understand those words The End.....

He also never wore his magic shoe laces that puts an invisible barrier around him from on coming shots, thats the only reason Haye defeated him.:nut

Yeah, maybe they could have done a deal?

Mike could have traded him his white tiger and his racing pigeons, for 10-15% of genuine V power.

    It's hindsight though isn't it?

So now it's a tactical issue, and nothing to do with size?
