Roid and Phony beat fraud ruiz, they weren't real HW champions... Lots of good fighters at 160-175 could bulk up and beat someone on par with that fraud.

Toney never officially won the title, because it was ruled a NC after the fact for roiding.

But maybe, if GGG bulks up and they get a Ruiz class beltholder after Wlad retires (very possible) he might win a HW belt.

Those aren't the '70s anymore. Or the '90s. No matter how weak some beltholder will be in the post wlad era, they'll be big and strong enough to terminate an overweight, slow and short 3g at HW.

    Let middles be middles.

Never underestimate what HGH can do, it is feasible that GGG can bulk up to heavy looking like the incredible Hulk, rather than just a fatty. With the quality of heavyweights post Wlad retirement, I wouldn't totally discount a heavyweight GGG actually beating one of them. Hope to hell it doesn't happen though.

Jones was a naturally bigger guy than GGG.

Jones was gone from 160 in his early 20s.When he was GGG's age, he was dominating 175.

Toney didn't only beat Ruiz at heavy. He also dominated Holyfield like never before and was robbed in the first fight against Sam Peter. Toney could contend with legit heavies. No way GGG could do that. No where near big enough and his style would not carry over well to heavy. Toney was on a different skill level and had a completely different style that was more suited for moving up in weight.

No. Toney and Roy were natural light heavyweights. They had to go up two modern weight classes (or one historic weight class) in order to pull that off. By the time they were Golovkin's age they weren't middleweights any more. Golovkin seems to be a genuine middleweight, a natural comfortable 160, whereas those guys were either torturing themselves draining down or young and passing through the division while they filled out.
