Could Usyk beating Fury and Joshua be the best wins in boxing history ?

Good wins if you put them together, but a lot of heavies would beat those versions of Fury and Aj, even a couple of times each

I really wish people would stop saying this nonsense.

No one can truly rate an era until it is long over. This era has AT LEAST 3 HoFers in it with AJ, Fury, and Usyk. Potentially a fourth if Wilder gets in and trust me, there will be a push to have him in. There were great, exciting fights. We had fun trilogies. We had upsets. We had dudes fighting for the belts. We had an active scene with banger fights below the elite level with Chisora, Whyte, Joyce, Zhang, Hrgovic, etc. And we got the first Undisputed HW champ in 25 years. With a cruiserweight pulling something off that only Holyfield had done before. But it's a weak era? Really? Buncha fuggin' negative nancies who don't appreciate what we've got.

This era is basically over, though. Fury is 38 this year, Joshua is fighting YouTubers and MMA fighters, and Usyk is fighting a kickboxer at the pyramids. I'm not disputing that we had great, exciting fights, but that doesn't mean the era itself wasn't weak. I'd say they're two different things.

Fury went missing for 3 years to get on the ale with his mates, and nearly lost to Ngannou; Joshua had his career completely derailed by a B-grade binge eater who fights once every 2 years; and, I would argue, Usyk is the only true HOF fighter of the era, and he is a cruiserweight. There's zero chance Wilder is a HOF fighter in my eyes; he has zero grade-A wins on his resume. As soon as he stepped up and fought proper competition, he was exposed. It's hardly the depth and skill level we saw in the 1990s.

I think a better, more accurate measure of how good an era is is the quality of its contenders. You'll always have the best of the best rising to the top eventually, but it's the B-grade challengers who determine the depth and quality of the era, I think. Whyte, Dubois, Chisora, Hrgovic, they would've been eviscerated in the 1990s and really showcase how bang average (at best) this era has been.

 

By and large the top guys didn't fight each other

Fury alone has missed Povetkin, Hrgovic, Kabayel, Zhang, Joshua, Dubois, Wardley etc.
