He took too flush shots right on his chin. Two shots which he didn't even see coming. No way was he getting up.

Either way, the bell never rang to restart the round. He probably should have been given a minute to recover and the fight should have resumed.

Is that allowed in the rules? The ref gave the signal to start the fight, the fight was restarted. It was definitely a **** up by Cortez but the fight had technically been restarted.

In any case, I think all three guys in the ring were to blame.

You seem to don't get the point. He quit to avoid more punishment. He'd push for a rematch to make more money. :patsch

I understand fine. How come he had Mayweather up against the ropes when the headbutt happened then?

He can't headbutt Floyd in the middle of the ring cause Floyd won't let Ortiz close to him. And the only way for ortiz to butt Floyd is to press him on the ropes. Victor could've done it ala Hopkins where it's not really obvious. Instead, he'd let it known to everybody specially the ref to lunge and headbutt Mayweather. It's like he's saying "Ses this **** I'm doing? Now disqualify me"

Took you a while to reply there... The fact is Ortiz wasn't taking that much punishment, He had Mayweather against the ropes and was throwing hard shots. You argument at the beginning at some merit but the more I think about, Its bull****.

I'm done arguing with you anyway, I have my own opinion.
