Foreman got his ass beaten left and right when he came back. The same would happen to Vitali and he doesn't have one shot ko power to bail himself out.

3 years is a long time, depends on his health, and his political career, and he would have to beat his brother, assuming Wlad is active..
Too many ifs I would have to say NO.:-(
I don't see anybody breaking Georges record for a very long time, unless Wlad hangs around until 2021, loses then wins the title back, but that's a long shot..

Could anyone in the current division beat Vitali if he came back?

I give his brother more the chance of doing so. It's a long time away though of course, 8 years. Nobody knows what the landscape will be like then. Presuming Wlad then has even 60% of his power and in an era of 4 different champs it's certainly not impossible to think he could pick off the weakens/easiest matchup and win by stoppage. You would think even with the speed and reflexes gone a 6'6 muscle bound giant with respectable power would still pose certain problems against the right kind of opponent. Pure fantasy talk at this stage of course though.

Vitali Klitschko at only 50% would knock out any heavyweight today...........

Given some of the mediocre fighters currently masquerading as contenders, it is entirely possible,

foreman was still champ at 48 and when he won it it was a boxing record, not just HW

so if vitali won a HW title at say 46

he would only be oldest to win it and not to hold it and its no longer a unique boxing record overall as BHOP has beaten that, which is even harder at lower weight

so it wouldnt mean too much if vitali or any other HW won after 45

I like Vitali as a fighter but he got brain washed by the neocons. He is to busy trying to start WW3. Can't blame Putin this time. Putin did what he had to do. Vitali will never box again.

Thought Foreman was 43 yrs old when he won the title from Moorer?:think

In any case, Vitali will likely come back to boxing when he's not elected, and KTFO Areolla/Stiverne/Wilder, whichever is keeping his title warm.

In which case, yeah, he'll break Foremans record, if only for a chance to shatter Wilder's glass jaw.:yep:yep:yep
