I don't see much similarity between Ward and Roy Jones.

And it will be years before or if we ever see anyone like Roy Jones again.

Ward lacks some power that may hurt him against the top SMW's. He is a very good boxer and I'm impressed with him so far though.

What an insult to Jones. Ward will NEVER EVER EVER be as good as Jones was in his prime. Roy had talent that was once in a lifetime. Ward's talent is nothing special.

No, but Ward is a very good fighter imo. I believe he has what it takes to beat Chad Dawson in the future

some of the americans love to hype everyone from the usa, and they are getting all a little blind by their patriotism. ward is talented but thats all, kessler will beat him, abraham will beat him. he is good but not great

    This content is protected
    how talented is he really?"

Its not about skills. Ward just plain n simple doesnt have it like Roy had. Jones at 160-168 had an unbeatable combination of unreal handspeed, and reflexes, and devestating power in both hands. Ward is fast, but nowhere NEAR as fast as a prime Jones... and obviously Ward cant punch for ****. Edison Miranda wouldnt have lasted 3 rounds with a young Jones. Yet he went the distance with Ward.

Too bad Ward doesnt have a fraction of the reflexes Jones had.

I agree but none the less i wanted to point out that he was arguing against the comparison when in reality he was helping the comparison.

There will never be another roy jones. like there will never be another michael jordan. Someone that good and unique cannot be remade.
