Could Ward beat Murat Gassiev?

It's the opposite of damning with faint praise- someone's gotta really respect Andre's game deep down if Gassiev's name comes up as the guy to beat him. You only go as far up the food chain to find a boogeyman as you think you need to.

 

Well we don't need to find out really do we? He only need to win 3-4 rounds, suffering no more than a single knockdown and he'll get a UD. I think he's capable of that.

 

I was going to essentially say the same thing. However he would not necessarily even need to win 3-4 rounds, simply be competitive or more competitive than in the rounds he was clearly losing and he would get them.

 

I've seen some good fights this year like Frampton v Cruz and Thurman v Porter both were highly entertaining and left both fans happy,Ward on the other hand knowing folk had paid out on PPV chose to stink the fight up as we all knew he would,imagine if everyone did that,boxing would be awful if that were so,if Canelo does fight GGG in Sep we at least know that he will come to fight and trade blows with GGG,I'll repeat Wards stinkeroo tactics are nothing to do with inside fighting,it's wrestling plain and simple and is awful to watch

 

With 3 crooked judges anything is possible.

 

Yeah right I still say if SK had of knocked Ward down twice in separate rounds SK would still have lost
