I saw this discussion on another board, and I thought it was an interesting question. What do you think? Could Ward move up to Cruiser and win a strap there?
yeah. hes by far the most talented guy north of 168. he'd whoop the Klits too if they werent so humungous
It all depends really, on how he recent surgery and long hiatus effected him. Until he has his comeback fight we wont know the answer to those two. But also it depends on his ambition and willingness to make fight. So far he's not shown much willingness to make fights since the Super Six ended - turning down Bute when it was the only major fight left at Super Middelweight and giving up litterally nothing to fight Dawson - and his somewhat recent attempts to get Middleweights to move up to fight him doesn't speak well of his ambition to move up any time soon. That asside, hypothetically speaking, he's a big enough person and he has displayed enough ability to safely assume that he would be capable of moving up to Cruiserweight and challenging successfully for a World Title there should he ever decide to do it.
Yeah I think so, only question mark for me is his chin. All the best cruiserweights are fighting at HW
Eubank was a smaller guy than Ward and he was on his way to winning the WBO CW belt against Carl Thompson before his eye closed up and fight was stopped. His last fight as well
