most people say that mayweather is so filthy rich he dont want it bad enough anymore. his heart aint in it. he looks demotivated etc.

but couldnt it be his "rapper" attitude ( you know always seeming overconfident, dissing, badmouthing, bling bling and **** like that) actually be a fuel for his motivation this time???

think about it: to whom would a guy who is (or at least thinks he is/wants to be) this badass gansta rapper defenetly NOT LOSE TO???

answer: some "whiteboy" with skin as white as milk, from europe who is actually a bit smaller than he is!!! you know, the nice guy from next door.

in the mind of a "rapper" such a guy would not last 5 minutes "in da hood"!!!

so isnt it possible that mayweather will go into this fight looking to carve up hatton like a christmas turkey rather than go in lethargic and going through the motions????

As silly as he comes across with all of the gangsta nonsense, Floyd is a smart fighter and is desperately trying to push as many angles to sell this fight as he can. Perhaps he knows, as do most boxing fans, that this is a huge mismatch and is trying to show some weaknesses to the media (even though he knows that this is not the case) so that fans will think there is more sport here than is actually present. That is to say, if his hands were really brittle and he really did suffer from a lack of motivation, he wouldn't be telling anyone in the media about anything and would simply hope for this to slip under the radar.

Personally, I think that Floyds biggest motivational factor is his own ego, he needs to win fights to prove to others and himself that he is the best out there at the moment, thats all the motivation he needs

LOOK, i dont want to make race an issue.........but tell me: is it not true that guys with "rapper attitudes" view white guys as pussys, bitches etc??

i remember james toney once telling all the "white bitches to get the **** out of the gym"!!

im not saying floyd is a racist.......but if he hangs with the rap crowd (or wannabe rap crowd) will he not be under pressure to live up to their expectations.
and that being the motivational angle for pbf.

yes, that indeed could play a part........cause you can earn alot of cash this way.

and the odds on the fight may drop with alot of people who just WANT floyd to lose betting on hatton........you know betting with your heart instead of your head.

and the odds are now only at -230 on floyd.......so he can make quite some cash for himself and his "posse" by betting on himself.

Floyd might be a twat, but I think he has his own motivation rather than one of showing a particular "attitude" because of what he wants to be percieved as to his friends, ego is his biggest motivation:deal

Rap is only a type music...it's not a state of mind, and everyone is different...Does Eminem think he can't last in the "hood" he grew up in? How about Paul Wall? Your a very ignorant person and should educate yourself on how silly you sound when making broad generalities. :good

Race is not always the answer yet people always want pull out the race card. I think all people realize the skin color determine how tough someone is. Ricky Hatton is an undefeated fighter and Floyd has even said he was a great fighter but he is not on his level. Maybe Floyds motivation lies in his believe that he is the greatest ever...Maybe it has nothing to do with the amount of pigment in Ricky's skin...

Did you ever think about that?

We don't know what thought might be on his mind. Maybe he's extremely motivated, more than ever. Maybe he's not.

I think Floyd is very motivated for every fight. He doesn't want to lose him perfect record, so he'll train his ass off no matter who he fights.
