Could we expect a strong undercard if Froch Groves II is at Wembley?

    I think we could.

    This fight is huge but we all know it will be a very tough ask to sell the place out (or even close to selling out) based on the main event alone.

    If this was taking place at the City Ground or similar sized venues, the tickets would disappear instantly - no pressure on Hearn to deliver a strong undercard. For example, look at Froch Groves I and the fights shown before the main event, tickets sold out instantly and so we were treated to a dire card.

    If Hearn wants to make this into 'a huge event' like he says he does, he needs to provide fans value for money. Particularly as the views in a large stadium are usually worse than in an arena.

    What do you guys think? Bigger venue = increased chance of a stronger card?

    To be honest I'm not sure the undercard would be that great, may have a decent chief support bout, but wasn't the undercard for the first fight terrible (EDIT: just seen your comment in your original post about the poor undercard)

    Wembley is about 90,000 right? I think he'd need kell brook in a world title fight and possibly something like frampton-quigg aswell to sell it out, which is obviously never gonna happen.

    Yeah i'd expect a very strong undercard, going to be buying tickets regardless.

    Saureland ( however you spell it ) has just tweeted hearn saying if rumours are true and its at the emirates ill be disappointed and hearn has retweeted it.

    i dobut it will be Wembley due to England match.

    the undercard really wont matter ppl will be buying tickets to see Froch vs Groves not the undercard.

    Monday 10th but a time hasn't been announced yet. Imagine it will be around noon?

    I cannot wait for this.

    I wonder what the prices will be like seen as this will be in a big stadium....
