I think it's inevitable - Mayorga will make it so; when Codrington went into that ring, he never thought he'd be swinging for the fences within 60 seconds, but he did; the same will happen to Vargas.

I guess so, Vargas needs to defend is honor and Mayorga to back up his talking.

What other possible outcomes are there? A slick boxing match? This one can only occur as a brawl, there are no other options.

Didn't Mayorga say that the whole point of boxing was two guys gunning like mad for each other until one of them falls down, because this is what the public want to see?

This will be less pretty. And end quicker. And again, the guy with crappier English will be giving the victor's interview. :good

a slugfest is inevitable, i expect both to swing for the fences when the bell sounds. i cant wait to see what one guy will do when he knocks the other guy down.

I dont care what anyone says this fight being at 166 is purely down to Vargas not beiong able to make light middle now he looks in good shape. Mayorga has one of them bodys on that suggests he has had to put on the lbs and really is nothing more than a light middle not forgetting he wasnt exactly a huge welter.
Vargas wins this one for me by TKO. cant wait for it though.
