I was thinking of this today. Joshua is hinting at a few tune-ups, and it is traditional that a new heavyweight champ conjures up a ghost from the past for an easy yet profitable defense. Sometimes it backfires (Foreman!), but it is the way of things. I think Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis and Tyson are definitely finished. Wladdy is a real possibility, but since he is barely retired, doesn't really count. Haye and Valuev have health concerns. Maskaev, Rahmen, Lyockovich, Briggs and a number of others wouldn't generate much interest. I think 3-4 could. -Everyone would pay to see Vitali Kiltschko, even if he is 50. -Sultan Ibragimov has been out of it long enough so that he probably needs some dough, and he left with a very impressive, credible record. -How about Johnny Ruiz for the ethnic rivalry? -Maybe Chagaev. Who do you think would be plausible?
Ruiz vs Ruiz. John Ruiz fighting style many hug ! He take some viagra before fight. Andy Ruiz is afraid ... can't concentrate on task at hand. John Ruiz champion again Oh yeah!
The sad thing is that some of them could defeat Andy even at age of 40 something and become undisputed.
I genuinely believe if fury got that WBC vitali would put serious thought into executing his emeritus status
I must have missed the AJ hinting a few tune ups part. Last I heard, he said "What the f**k is a warm up" and Eddie Hearn said the venue was being organised this week...
