It seems strange to say, Winky Wright, a legend of the sport and a natural middleweight, is seen as having little to no chance against a guy who generally campaigns at Welterweight and is still relatively unproven at the higher weights. People are mostly putting this down to ring rust and his age, but it strikes me that Wright would struggle with Williams at any stage of his career. He's a stylistic nightmare for him and Wright doesn't seem to have anything to counter him with, apart from maybe his jab if he gets the timing spot on. So, does anyone think Winky had a chance in this fight at his best and if so, how could he possibly win it tonight? I'm interested because I can't see how Williams does not win this fight ten times out of ten, looking at it purely from a stylistic view.
:rofl Winky would ruin Williams in his pirme. And he's going to beat him decisively now. Learn something about boxing douche.
After Williams puts an ass-whupping on Wright tonight I don't think my question will look so far fetched.
Can you explain how? I'm genuinely curious as to how Winky gets the decision over a guy with the ability to throw leather at a very high rate over twelve rounds.
It says here Williams beats Winky comfortably, but in Winky's prime or maybe even if he hadn't had this long layoff he would probably beat the punisher.
