Using pfp ratings as an indicator it says he was. Corrales would be a certified ATG if he'd beaten Floyd.

What were the odds for Benitez-Duran?

Floyd is getting stretchered outta there.

Look, PBF is a great fighter no doubt but Duran is all kinds of wrong for him.

    Benitez was a 9-5 favorite.

You're honestly comparing Benitez to corralles?? Corrales is severely overrated and always has been, his p4p ranking was an absolute joke at the time

Or Duran with his limited reach would have a tough time catching Mayweather, and after taking some counter rights, Duran would start thinking more about how best to win.

    Duran was best as lightweight!

Mayweather continues to be underrated in the ring. He shut down everyone, with the one exception of Castillo.

Duran didn't need reach because his game was to get inside. His foots speed and use of faints would have Floyd a twitching wreck. Floyd isn't this mover people think he is. Floyd genius is his ability to avoid and block shots when he gets trapped. He's amazing at it. Duran would eventually break Floyd. He's just too clever for Floyd on the inside and there's no shame in that

Conversely, you claiming to be a " Jafakain drug dealer spreading the love " amongst other assorted sh,it could be a sign of where your empathies lie. The Mayweather family would be something for your type to look up I would imagine.:hi:

So, just for the sake of clarity, this is a thread about a hypothetical fight between two guys based on events that ACTUALLY occurred in Montreal?

You reply with some irrelevant nonsense about a different fight, and a different criteria. Please don't tell me you actually believe Mayweather had the ability to circle and move like Leonard.

Well done. You have managed to disprove the theory of mathematics. You made 7 points and somehow managed top get 10 things wrong, particularly with regard to the 5' 8" Mayweather who is / was neither tall, powerful, or a mover, especially at Welterweight.

Pacquiao fights nothing like Duran. The only resemblance they have is skin tone and a similar haircut. Don't be a moron

I'm sure you said something similar about pac in the past. He's stubby and can feint.

I'm watching Duran-Leonard right now. Duran was a problem in the first four rounds. After that, he slows down due to exerting so much energy early and I think Mayweather would be able to control him at that point.

Leonard fought more like an unpolished version of Ray Robinson than Mayweather in that fight. He lacked poise due to being young and left himself dangerously open. He also looped the right hand and would smother Duran after, giving up range, unlike Mayweather's lead right. And he didn't have the jab to the body. It's apples and oranges. The Benitez fight is a better comparison. Subbing in DLH, Mosley, or Ray Robinson for Leonard makes more sense bc Duran would be allowed to fight the same fight.
