Beating prime vernon forrest is better than beatin past prime oscar or corrales imo.
Not that he did much after beating forrest 2 times but he wasnt a bum, just not toplevel.

 

A nobody lol. The guy beat Forrest twice, knocked out six-heads Lewis who was considered at the time as a good underrated champ, and a good slick fighter like Spinks had to run a marathon and dive/flop all over the ring to avoid Mayorga's power and only won due the point deductions. Prime Mayorga was no pushover, even though Mayweather would beat him to a UD.

 

no kidding. Mayorga's act tends to get old. All that sh*it talking through a translator about DLH, and Oscar wiped the floor with him. Of course Trinidad got to Mayorga first though

no kidding. pretty much all the Mayorga discussions on forum I've seen is about his trash talking

who cares. This isn't professional wrestling or a Novella as another poster stated. Some people seem more fixated with what happens outside of the ring

 

I know he's not the most likeable guy but he gave Mosley and Spinks all they could handle and beat Vernon Forrest convingly. I won't include the Vargas fight as he was pretty much shot.

Oh, he's a bum alright. He was just lucky enough to be blessed with power.

 

He picked up a few belts an as has been said has got some good wins under his belt. He was crude as hell with limited skill but managed good things. He overachieved this is not what bums do.

 

beating up a injured Vernon Forrest(per Emmanuel Stewart during Forrest-Rios) is better than Mayweather knocking Corrales down 6 times?

 

At some point Mayorga would smack Floyd and an all out fight breaks out between camps....Floyd would have his roided up goons on high alert for sure during the promotion of this fight...but Floyd would dominate like he did to Baldo.
