Skill wise I don't think Martinez matches up well but it's his size and strength advantage that would make the fight extremely interesting.

I think Floyd would need to fight a very smart fight but then again Sergio likes to fight with his hands down too much so it could go either way.

I like this fight hopefully Sergio can get past Chavez Jr and do good numbers and that might entice Mayweather into fighting him.

this doesnt make sense cuz Martinez would lose marketability if he got beat up by Chavez. It would not make any business sense.

Sergio has more of a chance from 154 down than anyone. He is the only one I would give an even match to with Floyd, from 154 down.

Right now and since mid 2010, this has been the toughest fight out there for Floyd from 154 down.

No! Martinez needs you to come to him to hit you, if u saw the Barker fight everytime Martinez was about to throw Barker stepped back and Martinez didnt have a clue what to do, Floyd would step back all night and look for counters

no. because floyd doesnt step in the ring where the odds are not at least 8-1 in favor of him

@160 Martinez would beat Floyd. Martinez will be too big, as fast as Floyd and also has KO power on both hands. Floyd will struggle and would be outweighed on fight night by 15+ lbs, a big advantange by Martinez.

@154 could be a diffrent story. IF Martinez can make it safely (I kind of doubt he can still go down to 154) we have a fight in our hands. I give it a 50/50. IF Martinez is dehydrated @154, he will be lucky if he steals atleast 2 rounds from Floyd in a wide UD.

IMO, Martinez has more of a chance of beating Floyd than anyone else from 140-160lbs (with the exception of JR. whom I think will simply run thru Floyd with his weight but that is another story) The other man that could have beaten Floyd or had a good chance was Pac back in 2009 but now I see that fight as a clear victory for Floyd.

Hasn't every fighter that has been in a 24/7 fought either Mayweather or Pacqiao? Maybe it is a sign!

Martinez weighted 157 against Macklin, so I do not think it would be hard for him go down to 154.

Today it would be too much risk for small money... Maybe tomorrow. Lets dream%

I would love nothing more then Mayweather to lay it all on the line for his last fight at 160 against Martinez. If he lost, well, can you really fault him for it? But if he won, what an amazing moment in boxing history it would be.
