Don´t you think skinny mexican 6'2" SMWs could hold a weight like this at the time?
We know Tony Galento had all kinds of trouble keeping up the nutrition needed for his SHW physique. Once he was on the beach starting his workout all these hots dogs & beer were gone quicker than he could eat (Scroungers knew he came 5 days a week to train, so....).

Basically you are upset by people challenging Marciano vs Super Heavies threads. You want everyone to agree with the terribly unimaginative and boring position "bigger man wins, weight classes exist!" But to your horror, not everyone goes along with your plan to inflict fantasy losses on a message forum to the only lineal Heavyweight Champion to retire undefeated so you start a thread to cry about it.

I think any SMW (Mexican or otherwise) can get to 280 pounds with enough calories, providing their heart doesn't give out.

The problem is the 1930s didn't have the access to same diet that makes gaining so much fat as easy as it is now.
Galento is a good example. He ate a hundred hot dogs and barrels of beer and still couldn't achieve the disgusting level of obesity a Ruiz routinely achieves. Maybe he should have tried giving up smoking.

Bruno looked as muscular as AJ in his rematch v Tyson and weighed more so maybe you`re talking about him and not AJ who would have knocked Frank out.

There’s-always been a lot of giant heavyweight boxers... Trouble is, outside of Carnera most of them were like these guys.

physically they were the same as modern fighters would be without the steroids. It’s just that they were born too early to benefit from modern training to become fully functional fighters. Certainly not yet enough to dominate the top of the division until PEDs came along.

It’s the dullest argument in the sport, Valuev would humiliate someone like Marciano anyone that thinks otherwise is a simp.

Absolutely. The magnitude of a Valuev is something the golden era was lucky never to know.

Valuev was bigger than most super heavyweights, Marciano was too small, but Frazier and Tyson would have killed a 6`7 fighter like Wilder.

Imagine Haye in the golden era?
How would the greatest fighters cope with Haye?

Louis would have beat the crap out of him, Lois had far better fundamentals than Haye, but yes Haye`s speed and power would even have been a problem during the 70`s for most fighters, Frazier would have destroyed him though.

No one knows this, but Carnera was a strongman before his boxing or at the start which requires a large intake of calories which will be how he developed his large frame
