Henry Hank, the elusive and entertaining contender from the late 50s and early 60s in the middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions, took part in incredible scraps against the likes of Harold Johnson, Dick Tiger, and Bob Foster. He also fought in the 1962 Fight of the Year against a previously beaten opponent, Joey Giardello, in which he apparently got robbed according to himself and his manager

How do you see him faring in other eras? Could the imitator of Henry Armstrong and the spirit animal of James Toney end up becoming a champion in other phases of the middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions?

From the eye test he looks pretty good, but I admittedly haven't seen any full fights of his.

Are his matches with Dick Tiger and Harold Johnson good?

Had to stop watching the Harold bout just right now cuz i had something to do but admittedly the Tiger fight is very good, he displays some wicked counters to the body and just bodywork in general

Hank got a title shot for a world title recognized by Michigan(then an important state).

    He lost.

I really like watching Hank on YouTube. Entertaining and I like his skill set. He would hold a belt today no problem

Defensive fighter with a good chin and skill, I'm gonna say yes.

For some reason, the Tiger fight reminded me of Curry - Starling I, but better.
