No, I think that given Vitali's age, injury history, and the fact that he hasn't fought a single match since 2004, while his opponent has recently taken a world title means that we should be a little hesitant to assume that Vitali is just going to " destroy" Sam Peter. How much faster was the guy supposed to beat him? ****, it took Vitali 8 rounds ( not 6 ) to put away Corrie Sanders who was just as old and inactive. This content is protected
Was he hurt by that jab??? Or was it a balance shot *******? Don't respond to my posts if you don't know what the **** you're talkin about.
I know. For whatever reason that little tid bit about his age and inactivity, not to mention his inability to make it through a sparring session unscathed isn't registering here.
Nice Countdown, and yes Peter will be destroyed that night, but I don't think he'll retire nor will his career be over.
So what he was knocked down by a jab. That is Toney, one of the best chins in the game. Did he get knocked out? That isn't an excuse he gave you. He says it was a balance thing, and I agree. And even if it wasn't a balance thing, so what, Toney got up...
If Vitali beats Peter, and he is recovered from his injuries, Vitali will do it in style. He won't be grabbing Peter by the neck and bending him over the whole fight like Wlad did. He won't hold and hit Peter either. Vitali was always better than Wlad. Always...
No. I wasnt clear in my 1st post. I was saying IMO McCline hurt Peter more than Peter hurt Wlad. I never was talking about the Wlad/Peter fight
Speaking of "countdowns" I'm surprised SHOWTIME had a countdown for Peter's first fight with Toney but don't(I think) have one for this fight which is way bigger.
They probably don't want to waste the money and then Klitschko gets injured and they don't have a fight.
McCline had Peter down three times, Peter hit Vlad behind the head and pushed him, 12th round Vlad should have finished Peter off while Peter was on ***** street. Vitali can allow Peter to swing in the air and tire himself out, then pick him apart.
Vlad looks slick alot of times at the beginning of a fight when he's full of spunk and not gassing and having to hold all the time. Vitali has always looked kind of awkward to me. But after watching the elder Klit fight every chance I get and watching some of his fights repeatedly, I came to the conclusion that he's actually slicker than Vlad. He just looks awkward because he fights tall and doesn't keep his elbows in real tight and his hands and arms are kind of extended away from his body and face alot. But alot of incoming punches get lost or blocked or tangled up on the way to his chin. Or they glance off some part of those humougous tree-trunk limbs of his and lose velocity on the way to the target and don't land with any real force. Or he leans away what for him is a little bit but hes so frickin' big that his head actually moves a great distance from his opponent. Or maybe he takes what is a small step for him laterally and all of a sudden his attacker discovers that his target is halfway across the ring. Often really goofy lookin' but seems to me to be very effective. I'm not a trained boxer or anything and consider myself more enthusiatic than knowledgeable, but this is what it looks like to me...
