Here's the counter for the jab, the right hand and the left hook to the head. Look up the rest of the videos under the same channel (billiardjay) and you'll find the counter to each punch. Russ Anber is a great coach. You'll need to double click on the videos.

To me counter-punching is essentially the effective combination of defensive and offensive maneuvers.

For instance, to counter a left-jab you could parry while throwing your own left-jab through your opponent's guard. You could also slip to the outside of the left-jab while throwing a left-jab to the left side of your opponent's body.

You could devise similar combinations of defensive and offensive manuevers and you could also find videos on youtube as someone posted earlier.

The best way to learn them is to have someone demonstrate to you in person the counters against basic punches (jab, cross, hooks, uppercuts). And to practice them in focus-pad drills and eventually during sparring.

But keep in mind that as you counter, your opponent can counter as well. So be mindful and always be on the lookout. I think the main thing with counter-punching is to maintain awareness. You not only have to be aware of your opponents movements but also your own.

With a partner, put on your headgear, gloves and mouthpiece and take turns throwing light punches at each other and counter them using the methods in the video.

Then, after doing that for several rounds each time you're in the gym, when you're in sparring for real try to use those techniques at full speed. Pick just one at first like say countering the jab and really focus on doing that for an entire round of sparring. When you get fairly comfortable with that move on to the other punches.

To parry the opponents jab with your right hand and counter with your own jab, if you can do that you can extend the combination by putting a right hand after the jab, or by doubling or tripping your jab.

Wait for the opponent to throw the jab, pat it down and counter with your own right hand, or!! make his jab fall short and time a right hand over the top of it.

Wait for him to jab and try to slip outside his jab, then fire a right hand over the top, or as you slip outside throw the right hook to the body then! the right hand to the head.

Slip inside the jab and throw the left hook down stairs or upstairs, or both, if you fall short with the left, double it.

Throw a 1 2, step back at the point he responds with a punch and drop the right hand on him, or lean back and drop the right hand on him.

When the opponent throws the right hand lean to the left hand side and come back with a left hook right hand.

When you catch a left hook on the side of the right glove, counter with a right hand with that glove, thats how B Hop finished Tito.
