hi guys im new here i would like to show a couple of my fights on youtube, any comments welcome even critism.. im not affraid to hear what im doing wrong so i can go back to the gym and work on it! this is my first bout i know my opponent isnt great but we were both no bouters so its not so east to get a even match up [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6t8Xp5WIzQ[/ame] here is my 5th bout i previously lost to this same guy in the aba's for the southern area title but worked on my mistakes and this was the rematch. i feel i dont look like i have much power in this fight and throw alot of arm shots but i have been working on putting my hips into my punches and have been training in 16oz gloves since this bout so when i put the 10s on i feel quick and nice and sharp [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12ZLKFJU4b4[/ame] Thanks for watching
Is that you in the green in the first video? Great work. He couldn't get started, you used the jab well, were just better.
Good stuff mate, bit of advice for you early. Wearing 16oz gloves might make you feel like your punching quicker- but you certainly won't be. Use tens replicate the weight you use when you fight.
How did you get beaten by the guy the first time? He holds his right hand around at his right ear .Then drops his hands as he tries to punch.
really brown bomber? i thought if i trained with 16s by them being heavier it would make my hands feel light in the ring? obviously the week before i fight i wear the smaller gloves though? Boxon.. yea he beat me the first time by majority i had been out the ring for a while so was a bit ring rusty due to operation on my shoulder.. but no excuses he beat me!
I like how you move in and out. Quick question how come the ring seems so small, it may be the camera angle, but it seems like the ring dimensions are small. How many fights do you got all together bro?
thanks mate to be honest the ring in the 1st vid was the smallest ive boxed in.. it was pretty small! ive just had my 6th fight mate last week won 3 lost 3.. lost fair and square in 2 of them but got absolutely robbed in 1 of them! so in my head 4-2 but on my card 3-3
Yea I meant to put 1st fight. Good stuff though. I know a guy who went 0-5 then won 30 straight, so getting that experience is key.
I only watched the first video and you looked very good. How long did it take until you got your first bout and what weight did you fight at?
thanks mate i trained for about three years before my first bout probably more then most! but only about a year with a decent gym and i box at 63-65kg mate
Quality, I just got my card -hopefully out soon, need another month of solid training and then hopefully get matched. Prob boxing at 63kg. I bet that first bout must have been a buzz, especially as you put on a bit of a show !
