:good I'll have to look back I had had a bit much by then, it looked like Toney had avoided it but thinking back i can sort of remember him having a grab of one of his limbs.

Nope, Randy is a sensible, disciplined fighter. He implemented the optimal strategy to win, and was respectful about it.

Toney didn`t even seem to attempt to resist the take down, at all. Not that he knew how to.

It was actually kind of embarrassing to watch.

Couture was the only party to emerge with any credit from tonight's farce.

Toney came off looking bad because he clearly didn't even bother to get himself in shape, and the UFC came off looking bad because they sanctioned a pointless mismatch between a world-class professional and a rank novice.

Couture came in shape, did the business quickly and professionally, and didn't talk **** afterwards. Props.

toney was there for an easy pay day end of, the shape he came into the fight was dispicable and i would of rathered seen randy punish him more

Couture is the kinda guy id want my son to grow up like (besides getting divorced every 5 years). The man never has a bad word to say about anyone in victory or defeat hell ive never seen a man train with so many guys that hes already fought like he has with Belfort, Coleman, Randleman, Barnett, Lesnar, Sylvia, Ortiz and Mo Smith.

Exactly sad thing is it's Toney 1 Dana zero, he took loads of cash to lay on his back for an outcome that anyone with a brain knew it would be over via randy taking him down, easy money for that fat **** .

Noguiera had deep submissions of Couture and Couture fought his way out of them, the man drew with Jacare in a grappling match 4 years ago im sure hes alot better now. Randy has been been training in Jiujitsu for well over a decade and the man has a great work ethic im sure you think not because he fights for the UFC but he is so get the **** over it. A Jiujitsu Blackbelt is not some impossible thing to earn or something that only a small amount of people can earn. When you train so often in something for so long with so many quality guys your bound to earn that rank.

He was caught in a very well executed low single leg takedown by a world class wrestler. Nothing he could do to be fair. No way James is going to learn how to defend that during his first ever MMA training camp. In all likelihood James could have trained for years and still had no hope of preventing Couture from taking him down.

The biggest problem is James' boxing stance giving him that easy shot. However, if James doesn't stand in his boxing stance and try to box... exactly what else could he have done? Nothing... it was his only hope.

Randy's a great wrestler. Thats where it ends. Dont try and sell me that BJJ crock shite. No one enters the cage thinking about Randy's magnificent sub game. Randy's had around 30 or so fights. Out of that he's had barely a handful of subs that i can remember. Any belt he's awared is just flattering nothing more or less.

You have no idea what a street fight is if you think you have to observe some rules in it.

This its simple as that. Couture has as far as I know been wrestling at a high level since Middle School so say he was 12 now hes 47 do the math thats a long ****ing time. Just like Couture could have trained with the best for 2-3 years or hell 10 years at boxing but he would never overcome Toney's skill or experience. It was just 6 months ago Randy threw a great amateur wrestler in Coleman on his back.

Matt Serra barely has any submissions in MMA but let me guess after training for over a decade with Renzo Gracie and placing very high in Abu Dhabi he was just being flattered to right ? There are dozens of guys with BJJ Blackbelts that arent scaring people with magnificent submission games theres a difference between BJJ Blackbelts and high level Blackbelts meaning the high level ones are the ones choking out the other Blackbelts Couture isnt that guy and doesnt claim to be one and nobody else does. Yeah hes had like 30 fights and only has 4 submissions but hes never needed submissions he is a GNP guy thats what he came into this sport as and thats what hes best at. Of those 30 fights hes faced how many decorated or highly toutued grapplers ? Alot like Nogueira, Gonzaga, Tito, Vera, Belfort and many others. With opponets like those its hard to just go around tapping every opponet.
