if fedor signs, then its all good stuff at the heavies..Nog lost twice to fedor but that was in pride... and in ufc, its a brand new ballgame and big nog is the interim champ..Nog will have to be fielded in the equation..

when at ufc, fedor should first face tim sylvia, then couture. if he wins on both, that would set him up for a third fight with big nog..

i'm sure we all we like to see Fedor fight Sylvia, but I don't think Randy will sit around waiting for that to happen, It will be Fedor - Couture right awawy. The clock isn't on Randy's side.

if UFC gets Fedor to sign they can't risk any fight but with Randy. the amount of money to be made is nuts. i know the chances of Fedor losing a "tune-up" are about .01%, but with things like cuts and injuries you never know. way too much risk with the amount of money involved.

Yea, it must be Couture-Fedor right away, many things can happen that will prolong the fight by several months and it's a no-no for Couture

I will probably die laughing if they sign Fedor and cut Randy.

That's what Dana should do If he really wanted to get back at Couture for quitting, no sorry resigning. So I guess the whole M1 thing was a joke. What did Finkelstein think was going to happen when he signed with an org that has no other fighters in it. But M1 would have done cross-promotions so why did this deal not work?

I still think that HD.Net and Elite XC with their new CBS deal have a great shot at Fedor. To be honest, every month that goes by has me less interested in Couture vs Fedor. I mean, Randy is great even though he is old, but it is getting a little outrageous. Randy is going to be 50 damn years old before we find out what's going on.

They signed with M-1, because M-1 was the only organization that would give Finkelstein a stake in the promotion of the company and allow him to run a card in Russia. The deal with Fedor lead to Finkelstein being named the President of the M-1 Europe office, which was basically all the Red Devil promoters. Apparently they quickly ran into serious problems with each other, and before this rumor even started it was reported that Monte Cox was trying to buy out Finkelstein's share in M-1 and close the M-1 Europe office.

Basically, Finkelstein wants to run shows with someone else's money. Monte had second thoughts once he got a taste for how the guy does business, and the friction between the two led to the falling out and Monte basically allowing them to walk away. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who deals with these guys are going to run into trouble. The ex-DSE guys do not like them at all because of the trouble they had with Fedor fighting in Inoki-Bom-Ya (or whatever the **** it was called), and those are the guys running Dreams along with FEG, so that might be trouble too. Gary Shaw is an enormous ego-maniac, like Dana, and will probably flip out when he gets their demands just like Zuffa did.

I think it will all come down to how far Shaw is willing to sell out to get this deal. He shown the ability to compromise somewhat with the CBS deal, which means he obviously has a better shot of dealing with Red Devil. But I gaurantee he won't let Finkelstein run his own shows with EliteXC's money.

apperently Dana is working on a 1 fight deal with Fedor which would be great if that happens, the deal should be easier to make you would think.
