Why? Randy is confusing me. He retired. Came back. Fell out with the UFC and Dana and now signs a 6 fight contract at 46?

:think Randy's not short for a bob or two. He does very well outside of the UFC. I think he's doing it because he actually LOVES fighting. Fair play to him but i worry about his health. At 46 its only a matter of time..

At this point he should be taking 1 fight at a time, especially at his age his punch resistance is not what it was, Nog almost had him out a couple times.

6 seems 3 or 4 way too much. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight another few times but 6 is a bit much.

I am sure that he simply plans on staying in the UFC until he retires. If he keeps is winning, then 6 fights isn't that bad. If he takes a couple brutal losses... he can retire at any time. I am sure that Dana White has the ability to release Randy from his contract as well if Randy is looking bad. Let's be real though... Randy is always fighting the best in the world, and he isn't exactly looking bad doing it.

Isn't he getting divorced? Might need it for that.

Yep, but as W_M has pointed out if things don't go well he will probably retire.

not only is 6 fights a long time, dana said he can fight heavy or light heavy, and last time he fought at light heavy he looked so drawn it was scary.

coutures a legend, but he needs to serve as a gatekeeper, if he beats a couple of up and comers give him one last title shot. if he doesn't then maybe that'll convince him to give it up.
