Then , he'll be able to make a choice and see if he can eventually fight vs emelianenko. But if he wanna rush things up a bit...dana is probably gonna try to sue his ass. In the mean time... Fedor will have his fight (maybe on NYE ? or sometime in 2008 ) at M1. (or maybe japan)... His possible opponents Arona (he's also in M1...) Barnett (if he signs) Yoshida ( he's sponsored by dreamstage and fedor is allowed to fight in japan).
We can hope, but there is a very real possibility he will not be free that soon or at all. Arona is the best realistic option right now, and either right behind Barnett or even tied with him for second best fight option overall behind Randy.
Every day Couture doesn't fight is a day to late, especially when you are a 45yr old athlete. Couture is a FREAK doing what he is doing BUT father time catches us all.
If Couture's priority is fighting, I believe it will happen asap.. Two things I wonder about are Fedors next fight date, and whether the fight date after the next one falls after the time Couture's contract is finished. Maybe Couture can take Fedor on the day after his contract expires? I think the hate for Fedor recently has been a bit pre-mature in that Randy might not even be available to fight.. Crap loads of Fedor haters here. I wish Pride took over and the UFC went away sometimes.
Fedor is fighting in December, so is Arona. Neither of their opponents are "known" so put 2 and 2 together. Hopefully right after Coutures contract expires he can fight Fedor and finish all doubts once and for all.
