I believe thats part of a ban on affliction, which has something to do with his clothing line, as affliction is wanting to start their own promotion. Nobody's right in this situation.
It's hard to stick up for him when he signs an employment and a fight contract and then "resigns" from it, it just doesn't work that way. Randy's a great fighter, person and even a good announcer but i think this was a big mistake.
They are banning his clothing line because it's joined with Affliction which is wanting to start its own fighting organisation. Obviously the UFC isn't going to promote a rival.
Yeah I know, this is so ridiculous. He beats Sylvia...ok, impressive, but so did Nog. Everyone is saying how one-dimensional Sylvia is anyway. He beats the ultimate hype job in Gonzaga who all but threw in the towel after he hurt his nose. Sorry, but Gonzaga is not what he was built up to be and fought a little tentative in that fight after he got hurt. Why is Nog not worthy to fight Randy again? :huh Why does Randy not have to fulfill the contract he signed? I know alot of you dislike Dana, but the man has a point now. They gave Randy a shot, they took the heat...yeah sure it was lucrative for the company as well to have Randy beat Sylvia, but regardless, it was very lucrative for Randy as well. Randy has to man up and fight Nog now. Sorry.
Guys... I would understand that Randy is looking bad not finishing out his contract, if it wasn't for the fact that the man is so old. He only wants one more fight, and he wants it to be against Fedor. The UFC couldn't make that happen, so he wants to go make it happen himself. He doesn't have all the time in the world to play games with all of the other fights that really aren't going to do anything for his career. A win over Nog would do nothing for Randy... a win over Fedor would just make his legend grow twice as far as it already has. I don't blame Randy for wanting out of his contract, knowing that he only has one more fight in him.. and wanting it to be against the best in the World. However, I do think that he sort of screwed the UFC over by smearing their name the way that he did... and refusing to be any part of the organization even as far as commentating. Then again... his big problem was with the way that the UFC was dealing with his people, treating his management like ****... and Dana White even admitted that much. So, they should have shown Randy more respect than that. He has earned it.
Ok, if he's getting old and only wants one more fight then these are things he should have considered when he signed his contract. You don't see Roger Clemens signing a 3 year deal and then 1/2 through the first season say he only wants to pitch in the World Series and if the team he's contracted with can't make it happen he'll go elsewhere.... because he's getting old and doesn't want to waste his arm? It's total bull****! What is he trying to do? He wasn't manipulated into this contract or taken advantage of. He just had a change of heart, who gives a **** Randy....suck it up and do the right thing. Stop bitching!
