Well, I love both Randy and Fedor and I think they both a model for champions. But even with all that respect there is no way in hell can I rank Randy over Nog. It's just not possible. Age doesn't give you that much special privilege.
All the big names? He fought Vitor, Tito, And Chuck. Only one fight left? Theres plenty of guys out there would kick his ass. His resume doesn't compare to Chucks Wanderlei Tito x2 Babalu x2 Couture x2 Overeem Mezger Randleman Belfort Soon to include Shogun Thats a real legend. but whatever. just my opinion. :hi:
You count Randleman for Chuck, but not for Randy? Also, a resume isn't just who you beat, it is who you fought. Randy actually fought... Chuck Liddell 3x Tito Ortiz Pedro Rizzo 2x Josh Barnett TK Vitor Belfort3x Maurice Smith Jeremy Horn Ricco Rodriquez Tim Sylvia Gabriel Gonzaga (would be Cro-Cop had Gonzaga not completely destroyed him) Soon to be Fedor Emelianenko Just a tad bit better of a resume than you give him credit for. Yes, he suffered several losses along the way, but that is what makes Randy so great. He entered the sport at 34 years old, was just a wrestler, suffered losses and grew from them. Overcame the odds and even at his advanced age learned and got better... LEGEND.
lol Oh ok.. brutal losses count too. Not only count.. they raise Randys stock! Geez it must be great to be an over the hill fighter. You can never lose! Randy is Rudy... Chuck is Joe Montana
First of all, you said resume... right? Do you know what that means? You didn't say wins. Ok we will go by only his top wins then... Chuck Liddell Tito Ortiz Vitor Belfort 2x Gabriel Gonzaga Tim Sylvia Pedro Rizzo 2x Jeremy Horn TK Kevin Randleman Maurice Smith Looks pretty damn good to me. I have a feeling that you don't even know some of the people on this list.:yep That would explain it.
Oh I know all the names on the list darling. Don't worry. But when you include names like Maurice Smith, TK, and Jeremy Horn.. its kind of sad.
BS on that. :bart Maurice Smith was the single best kickboxer to ever make the transition to MMA. He won the Extreme Fighting Championship in dramatic fashion then defeated Mark Coleman for the UFC title at a time when no one in the world thought Coleman could be beaten. Please give credit where it is due.
Also, the people pointing out that relative smallness of TK and Randleman...those are really the only full MMA wins Bas has, and he needed a robbery on one and a bull**** standup on the other
