i pick nog. i always tend to go for the ground guy and that nog.

tim can only win by knockout, but nog has never been stopped. not even by fedor.

and he is experienced enough. just cause of one performance i wouldnt count out minotauro.

Well Nog could`ve been champ in Pride if Fedor wasnt around.

    Nog could lose.
(Even though Sylvia is ****) , but nog could lose by ud. sylvia did it with Monson , Arlovski too. A boring decision , he can just lay and pray.
But of course Nogueira is not Monson nor arlovski so anything can happen but nog didn't look good against Herring. That's not a good sign.

Yeah but he was almost stopped by Herring. And if it wasn't for herring's hesitation to go on the ground to finish the job. Nog would've been tkoed.

Then again Nog pretty much dominated the fight except that one moment or mistake i'd say.

That still didn't change the fact that Herring almost had him. admit it.
if it wasn't for herring's hesitation to go to the ground , he would've tkoed Nogueira. (or maybe nog would've subbed him ? i don't know anymore )..

It took Randy 5 rounds and a decision to beat Tim, it took Nog 2 rounds, so maybe Randy should come back and fight Nog to proove that he is the #2 heavyweight and deserves a shot at Fedor....and then again Fedor hasn't been picky these days

I know that sylvia winning over Nogueira wouldn't have been too good for fedor's reputation. But personally ? it wouldn't have changed **** , fed would still be #1 in my book because he defeated all these fighters in their prime. (well , almost all of em)....

    including a prime Nogueira.

Nog is past his prime now , i don't hate the guy or anything. I think he's a living legend of the sport , but at the same time , i still haven't changed my mind. i find the situation to be very frustrating...

UFC's champ is none other than fedor's favorite "plat de resistance"...
    Couture is getting sued...
Fedor doesn't gives a **** about the ufc (i wonder if he ever did in the first place)...and we'll never see him step inside the octagon...

And the entire thing looks like a big farce now.
especially when you know that dana , (not so long ago) was proudly proclaiming that fedor was a "joke" and not even in the top 5....

I heard that as well, but if Kongo beats HH next UFC wouldn't he be the obvious #1 contender.. he just beat CC and Auserio Silva before that and a win over Herring would be more deserving then a win over Gonzaga.....at least I would think.

I would not be surprised to see Randy agree to come back to fight Noguiera. A win over Noguiera would make his case to challenge Fedor that much stronger - and would get him out of this lawsuit with the UFC.

And even Arlovski if he should win and resign of course he would have 3 wins in a row as well and 1 over Werdum.

But then Randy would likely loose to Nog, and I think he knows it. Nog finally taking the championship is the best thing that has happened in a while, at least it puts things back in perspective for most of those who were tightly wrapped around Randy's balls, and making so many cases for Silvia.

****, finally some of you will shut up about Fedor not being ****.

we never know , anything can happen...couture could win a UD or maybe Nog would...or even submit him...but we can't tell for sure.

the problem is that they're suing couture because he wants to fight emelianenko. Nog is ufc's champ was he was defeated (convincingly) twice by Emelianenko. and Emelianenko will never fight for dana anyway...

shitty situation for the hw division...

Nogueira has not much to prove at this point in his career though.
he even defeated barnett (another ex ufc champ & ex pride fighter)
and barnett also defeated couture in the past...
