Some points I heard from his lawyer, Hatton is just a massive twat.

Ricky Hatton's lawyer has hit back at Junior Witter's latest attempts to secure a domestic light-welterweight super-fight by dismissing the potential showdown as "a waste of time".

Gareth Williams insists WBC champion Witter has no business sharing the same ring as Hatton,

Williams said: "Ricky has got numerous options to pursue. He is being courted by every big promoter in the US and we have options like a rematch against Floyd Mayweather.

But Williams retorted: "It's a nonsense. A 70-30 split would still represent Witter's biggest pay-day by about 30 times. He can't sell out the Doncaster Dome. What makes him think he is worth that?" """"Someone should tell this twat he is the WBC Champ""""

"Whilst the US people weren't happy with (having a fight in England) that, they appreciated that that is what we wanted to do. We could have fought in the US or on a different date, but Ricky feels he owes this to his British fans."

"Suggestions that the fight may be in jeopardy due to the lack of American TV are an absolute nonsense. This is going to be another huge occasion and will underline the fact that Ricky Hatton is simply in a different league."

I hope someone else knocks Hatton out cold before Witter retires his fat ass to the ground. Utterly disgusting behaviour.

    Paulie, Witter or Torres...

How could he choose someone other than these 3?

If he claims to be a recovering KO lossee, and needs to rebuild his career (ior whatever)... Fine... But if he pretends he's "leagues" above the other champs, and fights a guy like Juan Lazcanzo; sorry... :patsch

    The flaming begins. Big time.

Someone who likes the sound of his own voice, accusing Witter of hanging on the coattails of Hatton to make a career (last time he spoke ****), yet gets every oppurtunity himself to speak to the media bout Witter.

When do ****ing Lawyers represent boxers in the media ffs.

This will be Hattons last fight promoted by Golden Boy when they offer him Witter.

Hatton is ducking Witter plain and simple. He's making himself look like a coward in the media too. And I don't wanna hear "Oh Hatton faced Mayweather so why would he be afraid of Witter?" I'll give you 2 good reasons. 1. MONEY. 2. There is no shame in losing to the best fighter pound for pound and plus he moved up to 147. But if he faces Witter at 140 he has no excuse and alot of non boxing fans don't know who Witter is so Hatton would look like a hype show if Witter knocked his ass out.

Hatton will never be pressured to fight Witter.

    Why?

Hattons fans are brainwashed morons, who will forever side with Hatton. I'm not a Witter fan, but the fight would now be justified in happening. Fighters who dislike each other want to KO each other. Hatton may well have been manipulated by his management team and convinced to take this stance on Witter.

Bowe was as scared as Hatton is now.

Lewis is a little better than Witter though.

Do they really have the option of a Mayweather rematch?

Would be a great occassion in England that.

"WBC champion Witter has no business sharing the same ring as Hatton" but Maussa, Urango and Collazo did? And does Lazcano have any business sharing the ring with Hatton in that case?

Come on Hatton grow some balls and give us all the domestic showdown we want.

i am not a fan of either fighter. but when this jackass makes the statement that witter is not even entitled to 30%. that is pure bull****. the title is worth at least that.
