    Hmm.. since you agree with him, I guess it means that since Bute wanted to fight Pavlik (before Johnson by the way) it's because he was sure he would win easy against Pavlik and you agree with this!

    What happened after the draw of Pascal and Hopkins was that Pascal had a rematch clause with Dawson, but only if HBO bought the fight. Since the WBC ask for an immediate rematch and HBO wanted more the Hopkins rematch than the Dawson rematch it was decided that Dawson would get on HBO on the winner of Pascal and Hopkins. So since the draw, Pascal was tied until after Dawson if he won against Hopkins and Hopkins was tied until after Dawson if he won against Pascal.

    So the Hopkins and Bute matchup would have been possible only if he lost to Pascal in the rematch. Since he won, we have to wait until the spring. By then if he Ward, Froch or Kessler are willing, Hopkins would be my 4th choice.

    Lucy wanted none of Bhop. despite that he weights the same on fight night than most top LHWs and that he fought at that weight several times before he always made excuses about how he cannot fight any current LHW because of the weight issue instead he fought a bunch helpless bums, cap drivers and streetworkers because hes no fighter but a coward who wants none of any competition. He didn´t like to fight Johnson either and tried all he could to cowardly duck out once again. he wanted to fight Les Sherrington in July and delay his mandatory so he could have fought another bum and bum Mendy by now. But after many years of cowardly ducking anyone with a pulse there was just no way to hide from Johnson thats why the fight is happening. Showtime doesn´t want to pay him for those bum fights he´d like to do

    It was enough for Mendy to throw two jabs several times in that fight to put Lucy against the ropes and leave him helpless but Mendy is bum he can´t punch, can´t take a punch and doesn´t know how to win a fight so he just walked away. but that fight alone shows that Lucy has nothing to keep Johnson off him and nothing to protect his glass jaw. Unwilling to fight and no tools to avoid it. the recipe for disaster against an opponent like Glen Johnson.


    uhm no maybe a bit dissappointed with the average quality of the replys but if i was just looking for accordance i´d start useless Wlad vs Mormeck polls like you do:lol:

    So, in your eyes, Bute is sure to win against an accomplished veteran like Glen Johnson. That means you rate Bute very highly. Johnson is what, number 5 of the division, and still would be an easy win. Wow! I welcome you as a new Bute fan! :lol:

    How many shots Mendy throw in that Video and how many land ? not much , Bute was making rounds for the Romanian peoples he could have end this fight whenever he want. Bute throw 1 body shot in the entire fight and everybody know , even a ******ed like you , that Bute best weapon is his body shot.

    yeah he was making rounds i guess thats also the reason why Lucy was so relieved after he touched him where ppl are supposed to have a chin and ended the fight that he cried like a baby :lol:
    there were several scenes that showed Lucy helplessly trying to slap his way out in that fight against that wimp Mendy. Lucy didn´t throw many bodyshots he landed some on his elow because Mendy didn´t come in upright and gave him nothing to hit. he neutralized Lucys bodywork and came close. Mendys only problem was that hes a wimp and has no chin. he chicken´d away everytime time Lucy even halfway connected and eventually got knocked out by some pitty pat baby punch. As bad as Mendy is, he couldn´t even beat Hanshaw, but he could have beaten Lucy if he only had half a chin. Even at that a low level not everyone is that much of a fool as Magee or all those guys are. not everyone makes the same mistake 100 times in a fight. Mendy has made his thoughts draw his conclusions build a gameplan. It didn´t help him as far as the result is concerned but he showed us how vulnerable Lucy is and gave a reminder why Lucy preferred to live in shame as the ducker disgrace that he is for many years instead of stepping up to any kind of halfway serious competition. It´s absurd to think that a one trick pony like Lucy could always have success doing the same thing over and over again let alone when hes in with an elite level opponent anyway. like Maravilla is not going to find anyone again that walks into his straight left the way PWil did as long as he competes at that level. but keep on dreaming Nov 5 you´ll get a wake up call

    why not?

    Seems to me that you watch the fight more than once and you over analyzed everything, while even Bute's fans were not too thrilled about this fight and the only reason he did it was because Mendy was mandatory and I dont think Bute's fans liked that at all and I didnt even watch it until a couple of days after the fight. Yet haters trying to find stuff against Bute religiously watch it again and again.

    9 months between mandatory is too little i agree but atleast IBF doesn't have 20 champions like the WBC with there silver and copper champs
