nah, reckon we should boycott a fight at some-point if the stinking decisions keep coming just to prove a point. Hit them in their pockets and they'll soon take notice.
No, but this fight didn't take place under the BBBoC's control. It was under the control of the Commonwealth Council, who have made a statement on Boxrec's news page about the large number of complaints about both the referee and the judges, in particular they were surprised at the number of emails from British fans. Looks like a job well done, they'll probably order a rematch. Cox will probably vacate but at least Sai will get a gig for the vacant belt.
I got a reply, but I emailed the Commonwealth Boxing Council. It was a helpful email, as follows: Dear XXX Your email is one of many that I have received since Friday evening and I have responded to each personally. Furthermore I have recived formal complaints from the manager of Obodai Sai and the Chairman of the Ghana Boxing Authority which are currrently receiving consideration. The Directors of the Commonwealth Boxing Council, who are based around the Commonwealth, have been informed of both the formal complaints and the public outcry surrounding the refereeing and the judging of the contest. I am sure you will appeciate that snap decisions regarding complaints are not possible in an organization with a Constitution and procedures for dealing with these but I am confident that when the decision of the Directors is made it will based on what is considered to be the interests of the contestants, our Championships and the image of the sport of boxing. Yours sincerely SIMON BLOCK Hon Secretary CBC
i sent them an email conveying my anger at primetime for showing ther floyd fight when it could be included in our sky sports subscription
I really wanna see a rematch and it to take place in Ghana. I want Jamie Cox to do a video diary of him Accra. It will be brilliant!.
This is a copy of the letter I sent to the Commonwealth Boxing Council; Dear Commonwealth Boxing Council, I have just noticed something unusual. I was eating a packet of Walkers Square Potato Snacks (enclosed) and thoroughly enjoying the experience. Very tasty, well done. Anyhow, I was bored and inspecting the rear of the packet. I noticed something I have never noticed before. On the right hand side, just under the ingredients list and Suitable for vegetarians message, is a sequence of numbers directly underneath a series of vertical lines of varying thicknesses. It says 5 000328 216423 >. I cant write the lines down, Im afraid. I have tried and tried, but I cannot work out what you are trying to tell me. It cant be ingredients or nutritional information, because thats written elsewhere. Please tell me what the code means. Am I missing something really obvious? Is it Sanskrit? Or for blind people maybe? Yours, confused, ScubaSteve.
