They can meet at 130 as we all know JMM can still make that...

Incorrect, John beat Marquez. It's Marquez who needs retribution for that loss.

I'd love for the fight to be in a neutral arena though, maybe Japan or the Phillipines.

do you beleive that chris john can come to HBO and say

pay me some money and put me on your shows so that americans can watch me fight ?

isnt marquez the fighter who was offered $10 and 37 cents by either showtime /hbo to fight john first time around and marquez turned it down to pick up the big bucks by going to john`s hometown for $37k

Since that close contreversial loss JMM has beaten MAB, Rocky Juarez, PAC (arguably), and Joel Casamayor. Who the hells has John beaten?

I would definitely like to see John fight someone outside the safety of his country.

I think he can be a great fighter but needs to move up in weight and fight good competition if he wants a second fight with JMM.

He does not need the rematch as he has proved far more with his wins post that fight. The same way Pac does not need to rematch Torrecampo or 3-K Battery

Chris John should move up in weight and chase some bigger fights. I see no reason why he couldn't face someone like Humberto Soto or Rocky Juarez, which has been mooted a couple of times before. Then up to LW and mix with the big names. He's perfectly capable of doing it from what I've seen.

Even the fact that he's been the distance with JMM, and got the backing of some people however few, shows that he's World class.

Just a shame he's happy to fight in Asia against C class fighters at best.

this myth is perpituated time and time and time again in esb.

if you do not fight in the usa , know one of any importance knows who the **** you are.

i have not checked or looked but i would guess that chris john fighting in japan was watched by 20 or 30 million japanese and philipino`s.

or roughly the same ammount of people that have watched the last 50 HBO ppv`s.

He does not need to fight in America.... He needs to make his fights more accessible to the American audience. This would not just help his bottom line but would benefit us, the American Boxing fans.

Also who cares if that many people watch it if he is fighting crap opponents. Fight someone of note.

what do you beleive would be the american viewing figures for a philipino defensive counterpunching featherweight namely john v a featherweight of your choice .

how much would he be paid.

if an american promoter offered john big money to come and fight his prospect then john would come i would guess.

just like japanese promoters offer him good money to fight there fighters and he gets on the plane and fights in there backyard.

just beating marquez proves that john is a world class fighter albeit a fighter that fights in the far east and not out of europe or north america.

my guess is that not many of the top north american mexican feathers want to travel to the philipines to fight him and go other routes.

that would be his promoter milking his popularity and the fact that top fighters are not calling him out at feather and be willing to go to his backyard if nessacary.

i have not heard anyone calling him out that i can remember and i do not hear any clamour from usa fight fans to see him fight in the usa.

and john is not a homecooking fighter is he, pay him the money like the japanese promoters do and off he goes to fight in the japs backyards.

Marquez made John look ordinary at times and definetly should have got the decision in that fight, even with the point deductions.
