Craig Kennedy vs. Iain Jackson, 8 rounds @ cruiserweight

 

Round 1

Kennedy is stalking the much smaller Jackson around the ring, hooking in above his waistband on the right side and dropping the right hand on Jackson's receding hairline. Jackson circles left, stoops low, sets himself and throws a high 1-2 with a left hook slashing across the six-pack of Kennedy. Jackson is sent into retreat as Kennedy lashes out with jabs and hammers down with rights at the head. Jackson blocks much of the attack but is forced to spiral away in a tight shell. Double jab into the guard by Kennedy, looking to crack it before throwing a sneaky left hook. Jackson is knocked back into the ropes and clinches when Kennedy moves in.

Round 2

Kennedy is walking Jackson down, thrusting jabs into his face with the fist turned horizontal with pinky and thumb pointed outward to either side along the entire path from holster to endpoint. Kennedy mixes in some mallet rights up top and left hooks to the body as Jackson takes short reprieves against the ropes after circling and ducking nonstop for entire halves of a minute.

Round 3

Kennedy is stepping in, body turned with his left facing Jackson. Looping right by Kennedy ducked. Jackson ducks a jab and throws an overhand right while fleeing. Kennedy puts in a combination as Jackson is backpedaling and ducking by the ropes. Straight body shot and hook on the scalp. Two more hooks on the body. One more on the jaw. Jackson is down. Count waived.
