Amazing that Peacock is the current amateur Scottish 75kg champ. Where did he disappear to for all those years? Wonder if he has ambitions of going pro, he'd have to do it sooner rather than later you would think.

I remember Craigs Dad (Rab) fighting in the Metro Hotel in Aberdeen. may have been the last time he fought in fact.

 

rab claims he had over 100 fights after only starting boxing at 30 - quite an achievment!?

 

I believe him. There were always slots for last minute fights around that time. He did come unstuck with a knockout in this one though. 34 year old jumping in with a strong 19 year old at the last minute. Happens.

 

some of the storys he tells are amazing, he once went to watch craig box at an international in ireland and at last minute ended up fighting there top boy at top of the bill haha among many other crazy things like going into the ring wit his matches and cigarettes in his jockstrap! great guy

Have gumshield/will fight are a top quality on amateur shows. :thumbsup

I guess it should'nt be surprised the amount of call offs, no shows, and other you get in the amateur code.

Rab is still at it. Never out the Clovenstone gym. Only guy I ever saw getting KOed in an exhibition bout!

 

Just read this need to start following this!!! Sparring with margarito in the morning then hopkins in the afternoon couldnt have been easy!!
