just spoke to him and he told me the mexican he is fighting has not made the journey over for the fight as a loss may scupper a future title fight. The fight on the hatton undercard is off

He was good the ngiht before Hatton Mayweather (in Vegas) although he was dropping his hands a little too low for my liking (that early in a career). Admittedly this was after 2 or 3 rounds when it was clear the other guy couldnt make a dent in him or was in the same league. he had a roy jones feel about his style that night. Wore a kilt to fight. Trained and cornered by Freddy Roach. Quietly making a name for himself manouvering through the early part of his career in the US. British media dont know and US media dont care (more talent depth, not american etc...).

Thanks for the insight. Maybe the lack of media attention might help him, less hype, less pressure and so on.

Very disapointed that he is not fighting. Hopefully Maloney can come up with a decent last minute guy. McEwan has had some good reviews and he would stand out if he was based over here but he is really just a run of the mill up and comer over in America at the moment. I would really like to see him fight and hope he gets the chance to impress us Brits in the future.

Dont really make sense though, loads of opponents pull out late and promoters are always more than able to find a replacement, especially with 3 days to do so... .!?!?!?! Why couldnt they get a replacement? Borovski or someone would've fought him, at the drop of a hat.

Yeah goldenboy are taking the guy to court, it cost a lot of money to bring mcewan and his team over. They could not find a suitable last minute replacement.

How much were they paying him?

I'll do it but no head or body shots, ok.

Frank the wank Maloney says he cannot get a replacement and is being totally unproffesional about the whole thing. Craig is gutted and disgusted with maloney as he was training hard for a while now and all for nothing.

Ive contacted bstrege from youtube to jump in at the last minute

They should have been able to bring someone in at the last minute. Plus the other guy pulled out two days ago, that's enough time to get a replacement.

I could probably get a replacement now! How daft! Its noit as if Mcewan is 20 or 30 - 0! This si what? His 9th or 10th fight?

Jesus, someone should be able to step in.
