No mate I didn't see the Hearns fight. I saw the Holmes one but by that time Sutherland was looking old TBH, his record had some bloody good names on it though (inc. more than a few wins!!).

He graduated from the "Tough Man" scene in the States, a form of unlicenced boxing which also produced Greg "Mutt" Haugen.
Sutherland was cute and tough.

Sutherland has a couple of nephew's who boxed too. One of them turned pro but hasn't fought for 6 years, so i think it's fair to say he's retired.:bbb

There is a lot of good prospects coming out of Scotland at the moment like McEwan, Anderson, Hughes, Russell, Brawley, Savage, Carslaw, McMillan, McArthur, and so on. Hopefully some of them can bring titles back to Caledonia!:bbb

Can anyone tell me anything about John Thain, the Edinburgh Welterweight who's about to turn pro. I know he has been training at the wildcard gym in California, but that's about it.:think

By the way, i thought it was interesting what you said about Craig being on the verge of cracking the Light Middleweight top 10 rankings. I would love to see Craig fight the one dimensional Alfredo Angulo!

 

Spoke to Craig, in Quebec, last night and he`s feeling good and ready to roll before the Parison fight. There`s a good article in The Scotsman this morning which is worth a read.

BTW, good, very perceptive post by St_Boxing_J12. However the matter is complex and there are a lot of underlying issues. I think it will work itself out in the end,though. Craig says thanks to all of you who have sent on your support and goodwill.
