Edison Miranda couldn`t get a better sparring partner than Craig McEwan in his preparation for the Bute fight. McEwan has previously been praised as a sparring partner by Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Margerito,Winky Wright, Vernon Forrest and Shawn Porter.

Any news about who Craig's fighting next, or any possible break-out fights in the future?

I know he called out Danny Jacobs a few weeks back but I haven't heard much since.

no word yet on Craig`s next fight. He`d been given hints that Angulo or Lara might be in the frame but no bites unfortunately. However, he is contracted to have three more bouts before August so I`m sure it won`t be long before GBP sets something up. The word from The Wildcard is that he`s in good shape and looking great in sparring so he`s ready to go! Lets hope its against someone who`s good enough to allow Craig to showcase his talents.

Yeah, I heard rumours about him being matched with Angulo before the Cintron fight - that would be a great match-up for Craig.

Good news about him having three fights before August - I hate to see good prospects sitting on the sidelines while they're waiting for a good fight.

The even better news is that there is a huge amount of new talent coming through at 154 and 160 - I would hope Craig will be right in the mix when they start being matched-up with each other.

Just talking about who he has sparred in the States, said he did 4 rounds with the last Forrest, and helped Winky prepare for Williams in Vegas, thats about it really.

That list of sparring partners is impressive except porter. Porter should be
the sparring partner of mcewan's not vice versa. I think the scot would win a wide UD over the much overhyped porter should they ever meet.
