Do you know if the fight you are downloading has the American commentary or the sickening Sky commentary i heard last night?

No matter how awkward this American guy was, if McEwan had any sort of top level class, he'd have made himself look good. The guy Boone now has 11 losses to 16 wins and a lot of those losses, have been decisive. Curtis Stevens is never going to be called a good boxer, but he shut the guy out. Obviously boxing doesn't always work that way, but as you look through Boones record, it's hard to buy into the idea that his awkward styleis the reason McEwan looked like **** against him, because hardly any other decent fighters have also been forced to underperform against him.

Good fighters lose a round or two against fighters with awkward styles. McEwan nearly lost the fight.

Welcome to the **** I have to watch all the time over here Grendal, I have been posting here for years, & many paint me as the 'bad guy' cos Im a guy who defends scottish fighters here against the multitude of bull**** from biased analysts & forum jock haters, & its a full time job! Thats why I cant bring myself to leave ESB, I feel Im not doing my duty to scottish boxing if I dont defend my fighters on here & just let the haters spew their vile abuse.
****, Scotty Harrison is my hero, & from day one posting here I had to defend him day in, day out.
Put it this way Grendal my good man, Scotty got the same abuse from Darke when he fought in America when he was a 12 fight novice against Tracy Harris Patterson, & Darke was screaming at the end that "If Scotty has lost its cos of hs inability to slip the jab" & other nonsense. Scotty then won by a landslide on the scorecards, & Darke had to mumble his way out of his horrible commentary.
As for Jim Watt, he was so nasty to Scotty Harrison throughout his career that his own father & great scottish trainer Peter Harrison actually went to the News of the World to have a go at Watt for his unfair criticism of his son Scotty, Darke & Watt were so out of control, Peter Harrison had to go public.

Darke & Watt have a history when it comes to our fighters. I can give many more examples if need be, cos Im very adept at remembering things like this:smoke
As for Craig, I have already posted my thoughts in another thread, & as you know I couldnt agree with you more.

& as for the posters here trying to take away from Craig, dont worry about them, cos when Crig wins a world title, these same posters will be jumping on Craigs dick once again, & trying to claim his as a 'brit' like they did with Joe Calzaghe.
Honestly, Calzaghe hardly had a fan here until he hit the big time, he was a bit of a laughing stock around these parts until he got his big wins, then suddenly everyone was a Calzaghe fan
Same will happen with Craig when he picks up a world title, the gloryhunters who are having a pop & writing Craig off just now will be trying to claim him as one of their own when hes got a world belt around his waist, trust me Grendal.

****, talking about America, I remember a certain Adrian Stone, who started his career in England, went over to America to better himself, the guy said at the time "Do I really want to come back to Britain to fight for meagre titles?"
He got beat by Mosley, but he would never have gotten that far if he had the small minded attitude of Darke & Watt, & the usual haters & moaners who hang around this forum with their fingers at the ready to run all things scottish down at every opportunity.
IMO Craig is gonna prove the doubters so wrong its gonna be funny, & I look forward to it.

Craigs a special fighter with unbelievable talent, with the best team around him. People on here will only understand when Craig wins a world title, & like me Grendal, you should look back at threads like this & have a good laugh at them in the future.
Cos this is life as a scottish boxing fan on ESB, most posters here who aint from our side of the border want to see our fighters fail, much like Darke & co.
THATS whats gonna make it sweeter when Craig achieves scottish boxing greatness.

As I always say here, theres no such thing as britishness when it comes to scottish boxing. Not from the media, or the fans. When it comes to scottish boxing, we go it alone.

PS, as for Jim Watt, I think theres a reason he picks on certain scottish fighters...

I'm not gonna bother arguing the point with you over that post, because it would take multiple lifetimes.

I'll just say that:

(1) Scott Harrison is not GOD; he was beaten well by an old Medina first time out, and his gift draw against Polo was a ****ing disgrace to be honest. He was a very good fighting machine (basic as ****, but good at what he does) but not up there in the higher echelons of Scottish boxing...........and he's a mentally unstable pisshead to boot.

(2) Craig McEwan is going nowhere fast; he may have done well in the amateurs but that doesn't always translate well to the pro game. His stance is terrible and his chin just shouts "hit me here".

I don't think McEwan is going to be as great as some of you Scottish lads think.

All national bias aside...if thats possible...he's about comparable to Darren Barker.

Good fighters but they ain't worrying the Pavlik's of this world. In a way they are lucky the middleweight division is threadbare, even more so with the imminent departure of Arthur Abraham.

I don't think he's even the best middleweight prospect, not by a long chalk. Golovkin and Pirog are impressing me more, not to mention Korobov.
