I'm disappointed with McEwans progress this year, he's not fighting often enough and when he does his opposition is not improving greatly. Is it possible he's being overlooked at the Wild Card? Would a change of trainer help him?

I can't see how this guy can step it up to the next level. He has a wierd style, but is feather-fisted and takes too many punches. If he runs into a big puncher he is getting KO'd.

I'd agree with that. Lee should be targeting N'kam/Golovkin/Zbik/Lemiux/Guerrero

Manfredo would be a good opponent for McEwan. Or Duddy.

I think a Duddy-McEwan fight would be great if it was made. Both could advance their careers with a win and its a classic brawler-boxer matchup. id give both a good chance of winning and it would be a logical step up for McEwan, and a chance for Duddy to get back into the mix of things

I dont know how you came to the conclusion that lee destroys him, neither of them has fought any one of note. I think it would be a good match up because it would be a step up for both of them from the jorneymen they have been fighting. Both have been pro for over 4 years and are in there mid twentys they need fights like this and soon.

Duddy destroyed McEwan a few times as an amateur. his aggressive come forward style was always too much for McEwan's style, even now as a professional he doesn't possess the power to stop the duddy attacks. i don't think McEwan would welcome this fight at all

    Mcewan is 28.

As for duddy beating Mcewan in the Amateurs thats pretty irrelevant really, amateur boxing and pro boxing are pretty much different sports look at Audley.

The frustrating thing about british boxers who go and fight in america is that they dont follow the british/commenwealth/european title fight route so it harder to judge them and they cant fight there way into being a mandatory thus forcing a fight.

I'm sure Craig is out again in Dec well he should be anyway he's only fought twice this year. Lee v McEwan is the best option for both just now. Although I can see it being a very boring fight they fought in the amateurs I'm sure.
