In regards to recent articles on Sherdog, such as a P4P top 10 list, I wanted to point out that CraveOnline Media, LLC, the owner of Sherdog, officially refers to Sherdog as "UFC News", not MMA News. Despite what you see in the Sherdog's title in your browser, take a look at the following:

CraveOnline also owns WrestleZone. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and notice "More in the CraveOnline Sports Network: CraveOnline Sports | UFC News". The "UFC News" link leads to Sherdog. Let's see what CraveOnline Sports has on their front page, considering it's not supposed to be unique to MMA only: a Pound for Pound article and the UFC logo in their Balls sports show (not exclusive to MMA).

CraveOnline is owned by AtomicOnline, LLC. AtomicOnline is owned by... draw your own conclusions.

You're implying ZUFFA owns atomiconline? With what proof? With that kind of thinking you have to assume they also own Yahoo! as well because they have a UFC page in their sports section, rather than an MMA page.

I'm not saying it's right that they catagorise MMA as UFC, just don't think it's a conspiracy.

They are speaking in terms their audience understands, people who go to Sherdog through a general sports site, or other general site, don't know the difference between UFC and MMA.

  10. That was before, I think they had some personell changes and are now trying to get back in bed with Zuffa. Its quite obvious when you visit the site. Why do you think people now call the site, Zuffadog?

  11. Theres a lot of unethical **** going on.

ANUS already knows that. He just likes to play devils advocate as though the UFC can do no wrong. Ask him about their viral marketing campaign.

As a staffer for CraveOnline.com I can verify that this is 100% true. while it is not as bad as it used to be, our site has been denied credentials to UFC events due to the association to Sherdog.

As far as the question of who owns Atomic Online, that is an easy one, Evolve Media. http://www.evolvemediacorp.com/

Sorry but there is no conspiracy here folks. The use of the term UFC over MMA was probably related to SEO keywords and not anything else.

No:patsch If you think UFC defines MMA, if you think that if a fighter is not in the UFC he is in a farm club, if you repeat P4P makebeleive situations, these make you a UFC drone.:good
